Moda All in a Row - my turn : )

All in a Row - Martingale

Thank you for hopping over to my post!  I chose to make a row celebrating winter and all the fun that comes with a snowy day.  This row is a combination of pieced blocks and an embroidery portrait of one of my oldest friends.
I hope you like it!
All in a Row - Winter Friends
I'm sharing my Blog Hop day with the beautiful and talented Camille Roskelley.  The row she designed is fun and bright with lots of star points which I love!
All in a Row - Twinkle by Camille Roskelley

I used fabric from my new line called Count Your Blessings (in shops May 2016) to offer another look for Camille's row.
All in a Row - Twinkle designed by Camille Roskelley using my fabrics - Count Your Blessings

Moda - Count Your Blessings
My new line, Count Your Blessings, has a sweet panel I'm stitching up into a wall hanging pattern.  I can't wait to see it quilted and finished.  I think I'll hang it in my studio to remind myself everyday to count my blessings.

PRIZES!
Leave me a comment naming one of your blessings and I will draw 3 winners at random to win a copy of this lovely book!  The drawing is February 1st.  I will email the winners.

The wonderful thing about blessings is that once you start counting them, you realize there are more and more and more and more you need to add to the list! I just made a pillow for a friend whose husband passed away from a heart attack at 47 years old. I embroidered "Forget today's worries and remember today's blessings" on it. It is a good reminder for all of us, yes? My blessing lately has been being able to be back in the classroom teaching High School English at a Christian School. Those kids bless me every day, and I am so thankful.

Hello, Kathy.
I am currently working on a set of quilted pieces for my farmhouse table using fabrics I purchased a long while ago. My husband and I couldn't come up with exactly when I bought the Blackbird Village panel and some supportive fabrics. I couldn't resist their charm and though I had no clue what I'd do with them or when I'd get to them, I just had to bring them home with me. I am now retired from a hectic academic profession and have fulfilled my dream of purchasing a small farm in Wisconsin. I've joined a quilt guild and regularly attend monthly sessions at an amazing quilt shop in Decorah, Iowa, where I have been challenged to complete 9 projects of my choosing that have been waiting in my studio. Currently I am using your lovely Blackbird Village fabrics and sat down to try and discover what year they made their debut. In the process, I've discovered that you are the designer of my all time favorite and go to fabrics, Crackle. I am so tickled to know this! I just can't get enough of them and they nearly always find their way into my work. Thank you!
I also have several pieces of your Bird in Hand line. Could you please let me know when Blackbird Village and Bird in Hand were introduced? I'm trying to keep good records of my pieces, in a notebook, on my blog, and at my guild. It would mean a lot to me to have the correct dates and to learn if any of either lines are still available.
Thank you.
