AIN'T LOVE GRAND!
Happy Valentines' Day! I usually find some fancy-pants card for my sweetie, but this year I found a little card that simply says it all. It's so cute I can't stand it! It is from Sugarboo Designs, Inc.
This is such a sweet little day with a wonderful tradition of showering the people you love with love. I think the secret to a long and happy marriage is remembering to show your special someone, everyday, in some little way, that they are loved and are special to you. Sometimes that's hard; the days go by so fast and we get caught up in deadlines and laundry, but a sign of love is the glue that holds everything together. What I have learned in 27 years of marriage it that when I make the time and effort to do something sweet for my sweetie, it comes back to me 10 fold. It took about 20 years to figure that one out. A little note on a chalkboard and as if by magic he walks through the door with a dozen roses! I try not to abuse this power. Then again, I think he has caught on to this phenomenon and figured out that it works both ways. Those dozen roses .... make him happy too : )

It is those little things that show our love.
We will be going on 37 years, this year, so I guess we are doing something right;)
Happy Valentines Day!

Dang. I knew there was a reason I didn't have a husband! :)
But I'm a little hurt... I thought you did those Chalkboard Doodles for me. I would send you roses too, and I could send you cards from Sugarboo too. (Agreed ~ so, so cute!)
I'll miss you ~ and Bonnie ~ in Kansas City! Happy Valentine's Day!
I told my DH...lets not give gifts this year as it is an expensive year for us...but he got up this morning with a very fun card and a CD by Adele...amazing voice. Love is grand!
Your chalk board doodle is very sweet, and you are right it's the little things that matter
Love makes the world go round that is for sure. Having a long and enduring marriage is the best! This year we celebrate our 40th anniversary...and our first Grandbaby! whoop whoop!
You're so right Kathy. Pep and I are heading for 43 and I think we both try to tell each other at least once each day that we're special. This year we got 3 Amaryllis bulbs for Valentines day. We did it last year and got to shar their beauty together as the bloomed and bloomed. Great card and doodle. See you at Market?
