So my new fun thing to create are little pendant charms. They are made with pieces of glass - about 3/4" square and 3/4" x 1 3/4" rectangle. I gathered some paintings I've done and reduced them to these sizes then had them printed. Using a GREAT product called Diamond Glaze I adhere the images to the backs of the glass. Once it has dried for about 10 minutes I take a long blade and CAREFULLY slice off any excess paper around the edges. Then I remove any excess Diamond Glaze that may have seeped out onto the edge of the glass. Diamond Glaze dries EXTREMELY hard so I did discover it's not a good idea to wait overnight to try to remove the excess. Next, I take a nail file and file around the edges of the paper to make the transition from paper to glass smooth. After I have a stack of these I lay them out on the sticky side of a long piece of book binding tape - very durable and a lovely soft black. I use an exacto knife to cut around each charm and burnish the edge of the tape to the glass. Finally, I adhere a silver bail to the back using the Diamond Glaze. Ta-Da! I'm hoping to have these up on my Etsy site soon. www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5909282 (cut and paste - I can't figure out how to link it! If you know maybe you could help me : )

I could kick myself for not buying these at Spring Market!
I found your blog from Carrie Nelson's...wonderful...and these pendants are gorgeous!
Oh those are gorgeous!!!! I can tell you how to do a link, thanks to someone who told me, lol. Click to do a new post, and type your content. Highlight the words you want to use as a link, then look at the top where it says "font" and there are some things next to it - bold, italic, text color, and the next one is "link". It has what looks like part of a chain. Click that, it opens a small window, and just paste your url in there and you're done!
I too found your blog from the quilt diva, Carrie. After the mail delivery yesterday I am a very happy fan. Thanks. Linda
